How often should gas heaters be serviced?
You gas heaters should be serviced every two years to ensure it is working properly and not leaking. Heaters over 10 years old should be serviced every year. Contact us today to book your service.
What is gasfitting?
Gasfitters install and service natural gas appliances and fittings. We install, test and maintain gas lines, meters and appliances. We can service your gas hot water system, gas heaters and gas stove connection.
Why is my gas heater making a noise?
There are a number of noises your gas heat may make:

  • Screeching or whining: the belt or motor attached to the motor may be damaged or loose
  • Whistling or hissing: may be a gas leak – this is a serious health risk, contact us immediately
  • Rattling: screws may have become loose, causing movement
  • Popping: it’s normal for some popping noises when you turn your heater off as it cools down. But excessive popping could indicate an issue
  • Clicking: clicking as you turn your heater on is normal, but continuous clicking may be a problem with the ignition system.
Why is my gas heater not igniting?
If your gas heater isn’t turning on, there’s likely a problem with your ignition switch or air filter. We can test your gas connection, and replace your air filter or ignition switch to get your heater running again.
